IL PESO DI NIENTE

acrylic and oil on canvas - cm. 200 x 130

SUN, SUN, SUN, HERE IT COMES

Installation comment:

composed of three main works that represent situations related to each other.
To the right, or to the left, go towards a light source, understood as a point of passage or evolution; or towards a situation of heaviness and static.
The choice is ours, darkness, heaviness, oppression... or the sun, the light, the heat, movement and freedom?

THE WEIGHT OF NOTHING

This work depicts a man who represents mankind; on his shoulders he carries a mass of elements that are oppressing him, crushing him, which almost prevent him from being able to get up.
The mass he carries with him represents the quantity of aberrated and aberrant things, information, elements, actions and thoughts, a structure as beautiful and flashy as it is limiting and overwhelming.
The presence of man is placed in the background with respect to the overlying mass, nullified by the same background color that surrounds him.
The symbolic presence of the sunflower is reflected on the rippling surface of the water in the lower part, like a distant presence that man is no longer able to grasp.

MINERVA - ATHENA

Reasons:
1) Minerva-Athena and the awareness of mankind.
2) Homage to art.
3) Alternation of the forces of nature with the work of man.
4) The dilapidation of Minerva represents the level of awareness in our age.

MINERVA
His name is related to mens (mind).
It was inserted into the Roman cult in the first century of the Republic.
She was the goddess of wisdom, sciences, medicine and the arts and of all activities related to intelligence.
When she was assimilated to the Greek Athena she also assumed the warrior character of the Greek divinity.

ATHENA
Greek goddess of wisdom. Venerated as "Partenos" (virgin), "Pallas" (the auction shaker), "Ergane" (industry) and as such patroness of industrious work and the arts.
Also considered protector of vegetation and agriculture.
The Romans identified her with Minerva.

This work that I created is above all a tribute to art and to all the artists who have had the strength to express their thoughts through the pictorial medium.
I was especially inspired by Van Gogh to give life to a work that speaks of nature, of the current state of the human situation, all as if in a dream.
Both Van Gogh seen under the human aspect, brings with it a message of anguish, torment and madness, with mine instead I feel compelled to redeem the positive potential, an invitation to consider  humanity , the awareness of everyone as a spiritual being, to a higher level of greater sensitivity.
Minerva-Athena goddess of wisdom, her decaying remains therefore represent the current state of awareness in our age.
Human ingenuity that has placed nature in a precarious situation, represented here by the two beings on the sides who cannot fly because they are rooted like mangroves.
On the other hand there are sunflowers suspended in the sky which, sources of light and heat, heliocentric symbols of positivity, transformation and creation of new life, generate new energy.

THE SUN

Through the expressive power of colour, I wanted to create the brightness, movement and contrasts in a single centrifugal image, an effect given by the clean and intense brushstrokes that make up the chromatic set of this species of sunflower, symbol of the life that it transforms thanks to it.

GIRASOLI

oil on canvas - cm. 30x30

“Il peso di niente”

guarda che bell’occhione che c’è dentro questo
fiore
che poi è il
sole (che poi è la vita)
occhio
il sole è una stella
e questo occhione sole è una
stella,
è tutto chiaro,
no?

state attenti, andiamo avanti

Il sole si riflette nell’occhio  di Dio pozzanghera bagnato
orizzontale
tappeto
di quello che
invece di volare
nato per farlo
libero forte perfetto
eternamente vuoto eternamente adorabile
s’accascia.
Sole fiore benevolente uomo perfezione luce vola perfezione
vola amore mio.
